Parent and Family Engagement

Visit your child’s school during the month of October and on Statewide Parenting

Day, October 16, 2017 and be part of “It Starts with Us”: Parent and Family Engagement, through Alabama’s Statewide Parent Visitation Month. Join thousands of other parents visiting schools across the state during October to participate in fun activities, learn more about state and local education programs, and find out how you can help your child succeed in school.  Parent and Family Engagement—now more than ever—is such a critical factor in determining the success or failure of students and schools, The Mobile County Public School System is promoting Statewide Parent Visitation Month in October. It is intended as a community effort—a time for schools, businesses, community agencies, churches, and government to turn their attention to the important role of parents in the education of their children. We invite everyone to become a part of this important statewide event and have your parents share their experiences on social media using the Hashtag #MCPSSParent&FamilyEngagement. Please check with your child’s school and/or schools in your community for activities and events during the month of October.
